How to Scroll Through the Youtube Sidebar While Continuing to Watch the Videos

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you are facing issues while playing videos on Microsoft Edge.

We tried to reproduce the issue on our lab machines with new Microsoft Edge, and we were able to scroll normally on the website while playing videos. For further clarity on the issue, please respond to the questions below:

1. Which build version of Windows 10 are you using currently?

2. Do you face the same issue on any other browser?

Refer the article Which version of Windows operating system am I running?

Meanwhile, I would suggest you to refer the article Troubleshoot new Microsoft Edge and see if that helps.

Note: Repairing the browser won't affect anything, but resetting will remove your history, cookies, and any settings you might have changed

running version 1909,build 18363.592.This is isolated to edge only.The volume issue is running fine now on youtube just movies that do it.I'm also having issue with super fast scrolling and I started another thread on that.Every issue is isolated to edge all other browsers work fine.

Hi,

Just to confirm, are you pressing the arrow keys when trying to scroll? If so, it is normal behaviour for the up and down arrow keys to change the volume, and the left and right arrow keys to scrub through the video.

If you are using the scroll wheel on a mouse, how is it that you are able to scroll horizontally?

Interesting, I only get the volume effect only when/if my cursor in in the video frame... and nono of the next video effect on winver 6.1.7601

volume issue isn't has bad as first install,Its only movies that do it now and I can deal with it.My biggest issue now is the web page scrolling,its so fast that just a slight movement and the whole page is scrolled down.Makes it very difficult to navigate web pages,no amount of settings in the touchpad control will affect it,it always scrolls at the same speed and its only edge browser doing it.
